Phase 1 Construction Substantially Complete

Phase 1: Greg Street to Lincoln Way

Construction of Phase 1 of the Sparks Blvd. Project began in July 2022 and reached substantial completion in December 2022, three months ahead of schedule. 

Phase 1 has added roadway capacity, increased safety and accessibility, and improved bicycle and pedestrian facilities by widening Sparks Boulevard between Greg Street and Lincoln Way.

While the major work on Phase 1 has been completed, the RTC still has some final striping and punch list items to finish, including installing some new traffic signal heads and miscellaneous electrical items, so the community can still anticipate some minor lane closures through January 2023.

Phase 1 of the Sparks Blvd. Project represents an approximate $12 million investment in our community.
